Denovo Review White Plains, NY (Onsite) Full-Time

Boutique New York plaintiff's personal injury firm focused on the representation of individuals who have been seriously injured is looking for an experienced personal injury litigation paralegal to join their growing team. Ideal candidates will be bilingual Spanish, have five plus years of direct plaintiff’s personal injury law experience in areas such as premises liability, product liability, medical malpractice, and also including motor vehicle litigation and corresponding no-fault matters.This is a full-time onsite position at the firm’s White Plains, NY office.

The Litigation Paralegal will handle a substantial number of tasks, from the first contact with the client through resolution, including client intake, handling no-fault issues in matters involving motor vehicle accidents. Will have regular client communication (phone, email, in person, etc.); submission of medical record requests and comprehensive analysis of medical records; calendar management and scheduling (court appearances, depositions, meetings, etc.); filing in both state (NYSCEF) and federal (PACER/ECF) courts, and service; preparation of litigation documents, including pleadings, bills of particulars, discovery demands and responses, subpoenas, etc.; preparation of settlement packages; assist with preparation of trial documents and other administrative duties as needed.


Qualifications:



  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of plaintiff personal injury experience, bilingual Spanish preferred, Bachelors, Associate’s degree or paralegal certificate is a plus

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm

  • Must have good and decisive judgment

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail

  • Must have excellent organizational skills

  • Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Experience with SmartAdvocate is preferred and knowledge of Lead Docket is a plus
