A day in the life of our Sr. Sourcing Vendor Management Analyst:
As a member of the Sourcing Vendor Management team, you will act as an IT sourcing subject matter expert using the 7 Step Sourcing Methodology for the planning, due diligence, contract negotiations, and governance process for indirect and direct spend. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining collaborative and positive working relationships with business owners and senior management, as well as with various internal and external partners such as Legal, Finance, IRM, Compliance, Audit, Information Services and Risk. In addition, you can expect to:
•Evaluate and negotiate new and contract renewals that represent business requirements with a focus to drive optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Negotiate contracts for adherence to corporate contracting standards and policies and escalate contract terms that impact the business owner/vendor risk profile for discussion and approval as appropriate.
•Must be able to involve stakeholders in negotiation strategy and preparation. Initiating, reviewing and negotiating contracts (NDAs/MSAs/SOWs/EULAs). You will work on end-to-end strategic sourcing events that have moderate to high complexity.
•Draft and manage contracts through collaboration with our Legal Department (e.g., master agreement, statement of work, amendment, pricing schedule, service level agreement, etc.)
•Maintain awareness of changing market conditions, as well as strategic business directions and senior management directives that create opportunities for cost savings/avoidance and efficiency. Perform benchmarking, spend analysis and other research to enhance results of sourcing events.
•Support IT initiatives by understanding all processes and stakeholders within the IT Organization. Solid understanding of IT contract terms, SOW’s SLA’s, KPI’s. Able to incorporate appropriate vendor performance measurements to advise business unit and IT representatives as to the validity and appropriate required content to support and manage third-party vendors.
•Draft RFP Requirements and other documents, facilitate sessions with vendors, review bids, conduct vendor analysis, and build vendor evaluation/selection criteria in collaboration with the business and other stakeholders

What we’re looking for: (requirements)
•Must have a solid understanding of IS legal contracts and their application to the sourcing vendor management process, as well as strong negotiation skills. The position requires the ability to interact effectively and build relationships with MGIC senior management.
•Strong interpersonal skills, writing skills and customer service orientation required
•Project planning, negotiating, organizing, documenting and problem-solving skills required.
•Requires ability to take quick, decisive action in unique and complex situations to meet corporate business objectives and business requirements.
•Knowledge of business and legal implications of proposed sourcing solutions required
•Must have ability to perform equally well in a team environment or individually
•Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree. Additional experience (2 years) beyond the minimum (below) may be substituted for education beyond an Associate’s Degree.
•More than 7 years of recent experience with at least 5 years of sourcing and contract administration experience in the areas of software, hardware, SAAS and IT consulting services
