Whitestone REIT is searching for a Commercial Real Estate Leasing Agent that is eager to join our team oriented environment in Houston, Texas and to learn the ropes of our unique, yet successful, business model. We are looking for the ideal candidate that is willing to put forth the hard work of hurdling obstacles in order to achieve the maximum professional development opportunities that Whitestone REIT has to offer. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for:
Maximizing shareholder value and lease NVP by developing a leasing plan for a designated portfolio of properties, achieving above-market rents and financial variables within lease transactions;
Fulfilling all requirements and executing deals within a fast-paced atmosphere through conducting broker calls and cold calls for “best fit” potential tenants, and property and market tours;
Overcome obstacles and think outside the box when obtaining and negotiating leases;
Negotiate, prepare and assist with completion of proposals, letters of intent, commission agreements, and lease agreements through interactions with tenants, tenant representatives, and various leaders within the organization;
Remain attentive and personable towards current and prospective tenants, helping to assist not only with lease needs, but their business needs as well.
Provide industry and market information, as well as, sub-market analysis as it relates to our business and investments;
Ensure vacant spaces exceeds all the standards of cleanliness, space condition, and leasing signage;
Attend weekly leasing meetings to discuss prospects, properties and leases;
Other responsibilities as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA degree preferred;
2-5 years of experience in Leasing/Commercial Real Estate
Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply;
Excellent internal and external customer service;
A current Real Estate Sales License or Broker’s License is preferred;
