**Your Impact:**

**Jacobs is currently seeking an experienced Director of Accounting in Dulles, Virginia. Responsibiities include:**

+ Integrating and leading a large team of Accountants

+ Reviewing monthly journal entries and complex account reconciliations

+ Facilitating month end closing process and preparing internal financial reports

+ Managing accounts payable and receivable activities and staff

+ Overseeing business system functionality, training and support

+ Providing accounting information to management, other departments, and external auditors

+ Driving process improvement and identify opportunities for cost savings

+ Ensuring all duties performed are in compliance with GAAP, the Cost Accounting Standards, the Federal Acquisition Regulations, Company policies and procedures, SEC reporting requirements, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements

+ Accounting/billing for Intercompany Work Authorizations

+ Responding to ad hoc requests for financial information

+ Payroll administration/labor pricing

+ Reading, understanding, and following the applicable process narratives pertaining to Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements

+ Developing and maintaining an effective control environment over areas of responsibility

+ Supporting the year-end audit of financial statements

+ Providing support as needed to external and government auditors

+ Managing various other general accounting tasks/responsibilities

**Here's What You'll Need:**

+ A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required

+ CPA helpful but not required

+ A minimum of 15+ years of relevant experience with Government Contract Accounting

+ Ability to demonstrate experience integrating and leading a large team of Accountants

+ Ability to demonstrate strong technical acumen and well versed in U.S. GAAP required

+ Exposure to consolidations, currency translation, and international accounting and reporting issues

+ Experience working at a mid to large sized global organization

+ Technical knowledge and understanding of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and controls

**Desired Requirements:**

+ Well-rounded technical financial skills, balanced with sound business judgment

+ Ability to collaborate with others

+ Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and external auditors

+ Ability to work in a fast, dynamic environment, and prioritize competing priorities

+ Strong Microsoft Office skills
