Responsible for prioritizing solutions related to multiple system applications including developing solutions, configuration changes, reporting capabilities to meet ongoing end user requirements for these applications. Serve as the primary contact for business clients, end users and vendors who support our overall application library. Major Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Analyze current business processes and scenarios; creates solutions thru design, configuration, or custom development that meet client needs. Prepare specifications and test business solutions according to functional and technical requirements. 2. Act as a team leader for Customer Service Applications Team. This includes being the lead in prioritization and planning of Customer Service Applications responsibilities specific to the Device Maintenance functional area. 3. Provides timely and accurate solutions to business areas including unresolved user requests from the service desk. 4. Prepare specifications and documentation for changes provided by IT Support staff. 5. Develops, maintains and updates documentation including Business Process Procedures (BPPs), reference materials and training materials. 6. Provides on-going end user training and end user support as required. 7. Develop innovative ideas to use functionality not currently being utilized. 8. Responsible for Disaster Recovery planning and execution. 9. Complete changes request review and obtain approvals. 10. Working with vendors to implement application changes or help discover solutions. 11. Work at times directly with the support teams in developing application changes to fit customer needs. This includes but is not limited to building reports in the IEE system and support upgrades for various applications. 12. Coordinates the definition, review, testing and approval of security access for a specific user group.
13. After hour on-call rotation required
- Strong proficiency with SQL and SQL tools such as Oracle, TOAD, Microsoft SQL Server tools as well as scripting tools. - Strong proficiency in Database relationship models with knowledge of Oracle and DB2 - Strong Analytical, complex problem, solving and successful negotiation skills in a fast paced workplace environment. - Experience with Information/Operations Technology design and implementation - Experience with mainstream IT Technologies, such as products from Sun (Oracle and Solaris), IBM, Microsoft, Cisco technologies and products and Open Source products (Linux) - Able to work with others to design effective processes and system solutions. The ability to work with remote clients, functional teams and equipment is required. - Strong focus on solution quality - Able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines and have ability to work independently. - Capable of business process to technology translation with strong understanding of deskside tools. - Good presentation, communication, listening, and correspondence skills - Have strong desire to excel and learn new systems independently. Experience/Training: - At least 5 years of IT experience, including SAP Support experience.- Detailed, cross module SAP integration knowledge including SAP IS-U, Billing and FICA is preferred.- Broad knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of the specific business unit is desirable.- Strong knowledge of customer service functionality. Required Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent work experience is acceptable.
Nice to haves: Working knowledge of Device Metering understanding Understanding of program languages such as C Sharp using SQL Understanding of remote access tools such as BigFix, PC Anywhere Ability to work with users who Understanding on how FTP tools work
