Support general accounting, freight reporting, and internal control assessment within GFUS. This includes reporting and analysis, system maintenance, and functional support. This position will also support sister companies as needed. Responsible for GFUS coordination of the KPMG Audit process. Identifies areas for performance and reporting improvements and helps drive the implementation of those improvements. Finance/Purchasing Liaison – Supports Purchasing department with monthly Purchase Price Variance analysis, quarterly raw material forecasts, annual raw material and SG&A budgets, and other reporting needs.
Month-end Process – Run the close process from start to the final review. Ensure reporting is timely and accurate. Provide staff support as needed. Explain major variances and identify any concerns with the current month results or future results. Assist VP Controller in presenting month-end results.
Review monthly expenses to budget and provide update to department managers on monthly results.
Prepare segment P&L’s for the GFUS operations for monthly monitoring of profitability, growth and break-even analysis
Forecast Process – Prepare monthly forecast for review by VP Controller. Include all known changes to budget including sales, raw material costs, and department costs. Submit to BPC.
Budget Preparation – Lead budget process from start to finish. Develop and adhere to timeline. Support Vice President of Finance in achieving financial guidelines and reporting.
KPMG Audit – Lead interim and annual audit activities related to GFUS and supporting areas. Liaison between Finance and KPMG.
Working Capital – Compile working capital information for both actuals and forecasts. Provide analysis to Vice President of Finance.
Other – Complete government surveys and annual census along with other general accounting activities as needed. Back-up to weekly check-run process.
Identify and support implementation of improvements related to company performance and reporting.
Be able to identify root cause of issues and determine best ways to resolve them.
Support ERP system updates as needed.
Purchasing Reporting Support
Prepare raw material budgets and forecasts as required.
Reporting and analysis of raw material requirement driven by current sales forecasts. Communicate any major changes to Purchasing and Pricing groups.
Monthly reporting of the purchase price variance. The variance should be compared to the budget and the most recent forecast.
Financial assistance with Griffith Continuous Improvement related projects.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. Master’s Degree or CMA are preferable.
Minimum of four years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Individual must be able to work with tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent computer skills are required. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong experience in ERP database systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
