Overview

The Sr. Compensation Analyst consults with hospital leaders regarding all compensation related departmental needs. This job will compile, evaluate and analyze salary data during the job evaluation process. Acts as a consultant to the HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition teams as well as hospital leadership on compensation related items such as pay rate changes and job description revisions. Recommends pay changes related to promotion and demotion requests to ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures. The Analyst is a subject matter expert; integral part of the department reorganization and helps merge business needs with the CM structure. The Sr. Compensation Analyst will be the subject matter expert and lead contact for MarketPay and use it to complete salary surveys, analyze data to make recommendations for pay ranges for new jobs and changes to pay ranges for existing jobs to ensure market competitiveness. Mentors members of the Compensation team and supports the Director to train new team members. The position will also educate and advise employees, managers, and outside customers regarding salary-related concerns. In addition to MarketPay the Sr. Analyst assists in the maintenance of compensation platforms JDXpert and INFOR as well as other special projects as requested.

Responsibilities

  • Job evaluation and market review. Makes recommendations for placement of jobs into pre-established pay ranges.

  • Acts as a Compensation Consultant to the HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition staff and hospital leadership on compensation as is an integral part of the department reorganization and helps merge business needs with the CM structure. items such as pay rate changes and job description revisions. Recommends pay changes related to promotion and demotion requests to ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

  • Under the leadership of the Compensation Director the Sr. Compensation Analyst supports leading the Compensation team during the annual market and merit adjustment projects.

  • The Sr. Compensation Analyst is responsible for the administration and maintenance of MarketPay and assists with other compensation related platforms such as JDXpert and INFOR. Reviews Infor actions to ensure proper documentation of base rate, FLSA status and other salary-related changes for each payroll cycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Business or other related degree required and 5-7 years experience HR or compensation/financial related experience required. Healthcare highly preferred

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, PHR and/or CCP Preferred Upon Hire

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $37.35/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is entirely remote or work-from-home. The person hired must live in the Kansas City metro area and may attend on-site meetings, as scheduled.
