Kelly Engineering is looking for a Commissioning Specialist for a client we have in NJ. This position can be contract or direct hire.  The right person will have a BS in Mechanical Engineering – AS and or experience may be considered in lieu of- and HVAC. We are looking for a Commissioning Professional that loves the job. One who will lead Commissioning Services for New Construction as well as Existing Residential Building Projects. This professional will ensure that equipment and systems are functioning at the optimal level of efficiency. Some of the Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Review equipment submittals and shop drawings for overall compliance with the design
• Lead and organize on-site construction contractors commissioning of HVAC, lighting, and control systems team.
• Prepare accurate and timely progress reports
• Perform retro commissioning and diagnostic work as required
• Manage multiple projects at once ensuring that established schedules are being met
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum
• 5 years of experience in the field

Education

• Current Commissioning Certification or ability to obtain the certification within 6 months of hire
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Knowledge of HVAC engineering theories and methodologies
• Roughly 70% office -- 30% field
