A day in the life of our Human Resources Specialist: (roles and responsibility)

•Manages the candidate and hiring manager experience through, but not limited to, the following: requisition management, job postings, interview scheduling (includes travel coordination, Web Ex coordination, debriefs, etc.), Predictive Index system and assessment administration, Korn Ferry Interview Architect coordination, subject matter expertise for ATS (updating and maintaining, troubleshooting as necessary).
•Manages the new hire process and on-boarding for all new employees. Ensures accuracy of workflow documents and required information to key stakeholders including Payroll, Security, Hiring Managers, etc. Ensures that all legal and regulatory employment requirements are satisfied to mitigate risk to MGIC. Responsible for processing background checks, drug screens, and education degree verifications. Submits information through vendor websites, monitors results, and works with vendor for issues or concerns. Conducts professional reference checks for final candidates.
•Responsible for project support and regular reporting using MS Offices Suite. Provides administrative support and partners with HR Experience Specialist to manage the HR reception space (in-person and phone), and relieves others of semi-complex, multi-step procedural tasks. Provides back-up support for basic HR Experience responsibilities.
•Initiates and approves PAFs for leaves of absence. Works with a team of co-workers in HR on complex leave situations as it relates to communications, manager counseling, etc.
•Primary responsibility for several Talent Acquisition and Employee Relations programs including relocation, tracking and monitoring contractors, tracking and monitoring sponsored employees for compliance and consults legal counsel as necessary, audits HR Experience Specialist on specific tasks, participates in internal and customer audits.
•Researches problems and takes action within established procedures. Follows up on problems until they are resolved and keeps manager informed of any unresolved issues.

What we’re looking for: (requirements)

•Completion of an Associates’ Degree; Bachelors Degree in HR preferred. Additional experience (2 years) beyond the minimum (below) may be substituted for education beyond high school.
•More than 3 years work experience performing semi-complex, multi-step procedures.
•MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
•Experience with office and administrative procedures
•Strong accuracy and attention to detail
•Ability to reconcile information
•Ability to work independently
•Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality
