Aircraft Maintenance Manager - Mid Continent Aviation Services

ICM Ventures Inc Wichita, KS Full-Time


The Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintenance functions of the repair station and the direction and supervision of maintenance department personnel.  This position is first shift, Monday through Friday with occasional weekends as needed. 


  • Responsible for the overall cleanliness and condition of the maintenance facilities (hangar space, office space, and ramp).
  • Responsible for the overall cleanliness and condition of all ground support equipment.
  • Ensure maintenance programs are followed during inspection and repair of aircraft.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Ensure all company safety procedures are followed.
  • Maintain local technical manuals and reference materials in a current status.
  • Control and authorize employee overtime, submit overtime reports for management review.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and decision making in regards to airframe and power-plant systems.
  • Ensure that adequate tools and equipment are available in order to facilitate all maintenance requirements can be met.
  • Ensure that all calibrated tools are current and in good working order.
  • Review all maintenance records to ensure compliance with Federal regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all company maintenance training requirements are met for maintenance staff.



  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must hold a valid airframe and powerplant certificate.                                                            

Required Knowledge & Experience: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of appropriately documented background of maintenance experience and/or training on aircraft types listed on the Repair Station Operation Specifications.
  • Familiarity with FAR part 43, 65, 91, 135, and 145.
  • Familiarity with access and usage of all maintenance, IPC, and CMM manuals online or in another format.
  • Familiarity with EBIS or other inventory software.
  • Familiarity with maintenance tracking software.


  • Able to effectively maintain organization and take initiative with projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Ability to learn and utilize basic computer skills
  • Ability to obtain airport security clearance
  • Ability to be on-call for emergencies 


Must be able to speak and listen clearly.   Fine visual acuity to read for accuracy. Exposure to loud noises, wet and humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, extreme hot and cold depending on weather conditions.   May be required to work in high, precarious places.  Will be required to participate in the Repair Station DOT drug testing program.  



This job may require lifting of up to 50 pounds occasionally.
