Job Description

Eurofins Central Laboratory is committed to providing the highest quality services, as well as accurate, timely results capturing the planned completion date, and expert advice from our highly qualified team of experienced scientists

ECL is searching for an Operational Lab Assistant in Lancaster, PA.

Operational Lab Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Ensure proper flow of specimens within the laboratory including....

• Monitors, enters and reviews results from all reference labs.

• Generates and monitors pending lists.

• Acts on Result Cleaning Forms and Data Cleaning Forms.

• Communicates with Project managers and Investigator Services when presented with problems in order to expedite TAT of test results.

• Completes all aspects of the Reporting checklist within time frames indicated.

• Assists the Technologists (and under supervision) in performing maintenance procedures with automated analyzers while following corporate, state, federal and OSHA certification guidelines.

• Performance of waived testing under the supervision of a Technologist.

• Assists with inventory to ensure adequate levels of supplies.

• Researches and send info to NSC for new orders.

• Creates POs for orders and reconciles when received.

• Handles all not specimen shipping issues.

• Is responsible for ensuring that Proficiency testing is performed according to schedule.

The ideal candidate would possess :

• Fluent in English

• Able to work in a fast paced, mixed office and lab environment.

• High customer service orientation with a sense of business and urgency

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools and database applications

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Basic Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)

• 3- 5 years in a diagnostic, clinical laboratory

• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays, 9am-5:30pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, Pennsylvania are encouraged to apply.
