Intertek Government and Trade Services supports Governments, Customs Authorities and National Standards Organisations, by ensuring imported goods comply with International safety and Quality Standards.
The Inspector will conduct Inspections of various imported goods at client sites. This position is best suited for candidates seeking supplemental income.
Inspector will receive information regarding the location of the Inspection and type of goods to be inspected.
Coordinate the time and date of the Inspection with the site representative.
Inspect the goods presented by the site representative in accordance with the Inspection Package Guidelines. Incorporate Special Instructions.
Utilizing a recognized sampling plan that the quantities are as stated. The following methods can be used, visual inspection, witnessing of testing, review quality certificates or lab testing to verify the identity and quality of goods.
Record findings on site and submit final Inspection report within 24 hours of completion. The Inspector will complete the reports by accessing Intertek’s systems.
Field Inspection experience. Housing or Insurance inspections experience helpful.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written.
Access to a computer along with digital camera, fax and/or scanner required.
Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
