Civil Engineering Senior PM

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our Civil Engineering Group. You will help lead and grow our presence in the Eastern US, in both the public and private sectors.

Your Role :
The Senior Civil Engineering PM plays a key role in supporting Clients and Project Managers with planning and design of projects for a variety of municipal, state and federal clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast region. The individual will oversee Teams for Design Build and Design Bid Build projects. Major duties/responsibilities of the position include:
* Provide oversight and design support to on-going and new projects related to civil engineering.
* Lead design teams in all aspects of project design and ensure projects are completed within scope, schedule, and budget.
* Prepare and submit various types of permit applications associated with environmental impacts, utilities, and storm water management.
* Identify and apply appropriate storm water control Best Management Practices (BMP) for both construction and post-construction phases of a project.
* Interpret current and future state and federal promulgated regulations for projects and properly apply to civil design and permitting activities.
* Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate detailed phases of technical work in a part of a major project or in a total project of complex scope.
* Interface with Client Project Managers, government regulators, other contractors, and other representatives.
* Provide instrumental support of business development activities including but not limited to client presentations and proposal preparation.
* Supervise and coordinate the work of professional and administrative staff on projects as appropriate.
Qualifications :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. * Registered Professional Engineer with Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.
* Minimum of 15 years of experience. Previous project experience in Design Build, Department of Defense, State, and municipal entities is preferred.
* Proficient with Autodesk Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
* Experience with Sustainable Design Practices, as well as documentation to USGBC, Green Globes, Guiding Principles, etc. LEED AP is preferred.
* Prior management experience with 5 or more employees.
* Mentor staff with software, report writing, and proposals.
* Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
* Effective time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
* A valid driver's license
* Due to contractual requirements, US Citizenship is required
