Do you meet the requirements for this job?
Quality Engineer
Review supplier certifications for material compliance to ASME Code or ASTM standards and customer requirements
•Verify compliance to NRC 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and Part 21 when applicable
•Contact suppliers for corrections to certifications that have errors
•Review purchase orders to confirm that the parts being ordered meet customer requirements
•Write Certificates of Conformance/Compliance that certify that the parts shipped meet the customer requirements
•Run and attend Material Review Board meetings to discuss non-conformances with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain
•Determine the root cause for non-conformances and create scrap sheets for parts that are unusable
•Update procedures, keeping them in accordance with the ASME Code, ISO 9001, and our Quality Manual
•Approve supplier Non-Destructive Examination procedures for use on supplied parts
BSME and 1-2 year experience ( more senior level applicants are welcome!)
