Electrical Designer III with Security Clearance

Electrical Designer III JHNA is seeking a talented Electrical Designer to join our growing Fort Eustis team in Newport News, VA
This role is part of a bid and proposal effort with a "start work" timeframe of Fall 2023
The candidate will be supporting our Army Aviation government customer at Fort Eustis
This initiative will provide mechanical design, electrical design, and drafting support leading to multiple aviation systems Technical Data Packages (TDP) suitable for prototype, full production and special mission hardware
All designs shall be accomplished using Parametric Technology Pro-Engineer/CREO and CREO Schematics CAD software
This position will require on-site support at Fort Eustis, VA
Roles/Responsibilities:
• Electrical design and drafting activities shall include: design and integration of aircraft systems and sub- systems, development of drawing packages in sufficient detail to production tech data packages, assisting in the preparation of purchase requests for materials necessary to realize designs, tracking purchase requests and coordination with the fabricators as required in the production of these designs
This work may be conducted independently or as a member of a larger design team of designers and engineers
Design and drawing packages must be in accordance with identified airworthiness requirements for particular aircraft platforms
Qualifications:
• Minimum Degree: Associates Degree or CAD certification
• Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance
• Minimum Experience: 8 years
• Current on computer aided software design systems
