Senior Risk Analyst

Ameriprise Financial, Inc. Minneapolis, MN Full-Time
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Risk Analyst to join the team at Ameriprise! This position provides analytical support to Risk Management initiatives. This involves working with multiple business divisions to implement, oversight, and improve enterprise risk initiatives. The candidate will also review, identify, research, and resolve various data issues for accurate reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, identify, research, and resolve data issues for reports and statistics used by the team. Using knowledge of the systems, implement other solutions to resolve data issues. Produce various analysis that are used across the business segments and the firms internal and external partners.
  • Provide oversight and partner with the business on risk issues and risk programs to aid in the mitigation to the firm.
  • Responsible for reviewing risk information/data in specific systems (i.e., MetricStream), used to provide reports and statistics to provide analysis for the Sr Risk Management leaders. Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the data in the system.
  • Build and coordinate all report generation, dashboard views and queries for Risk Events (REVs) and Change Management risk initiatives.
  • Coordinate and distribute internal/external reporting across multiple areas of the company, as well as risk forums and Executive Leadership Team meetings.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent (4-years)
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Financial/analytical reporting skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or a Risk Management Information System.
  • General industry risk knowledge
  • Shown internal and external relationship management skills

  • Strong understanding of Enterprise Risk programs
  • Strong internal and external relationship management skills
  • Excellent analytical capabilities and interpersonal skills
  • Bank industry knowledge
  • SIE and Series 99
