Senior Web Architect

As a Senior Web Architect, you will work in a specialized agile team with smart, passionate engineers to bring products from inception to production. We strongly believe that collaboration enables better products, so you will work closely with Product Owners, UX designers, and other engineers to design solutions. As our applications continue to evolve, you will have a significant voice in deciding which best practices and tooling we adopt. 

About the job: 

Partner with other Engineers, Product Owners, UX designers, and other web developers to leverage the best parts of the stack for each function, and design intuitive interfaces 

Re-Architect a monolithic application in a horizontally scalable service-oriented architecture. 

Lead design reviews and conduct code reviews to ensure the quality of the products we deliver 

Drive adoption of new paradigms and tooling to enhance our development process 

Design an API for our users that integrates into many systems. 

Work with devops to design smooth automated build pipelines / systems. 

Prototype with new technologies and programming languages. 

Design 100% uptime build/deployment systems. 

Participate in organization-wide discussions to share knowledge and best practices with the broader engineering community 

Mentor other engineers on designing robust architectures and implementing maintainable code 

Deliver well-tested, maintainable and robust code 


About your skills and experience: 

At least 10 years of software engineering experience and created projects with great user experience for large-scale, distributed systems 

Strong knowledge of MVC Frameworks on Server and Client Sides 

Skills in building scalable web services preferred 

Experience with our technology stack preferred: Play Framework, Sprint Boot, Spring MVC, Angular, React, Redux, GraphQL, NodeJS, Typescript, and Java in a Linux environment 

Knowledge on Oracle, MYSQL, Graph DB, Mongo DB, Cassandra databases preferred 

Experience planning and leading cross-functional projects, spanning multiple components, that deliver high-quality products on time 

Experience contributing to longstanding, mature enterprise web applications.

Desired Qualifications: College degree in a Technical or related field and 8 years professional level experience with 3-4 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 12 years professional level related Technical experience with 3-4 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Technical experience desired.
