The Human Resource Generalist serves as a primary resource for all employees and managers that supports the entire employment life cycle as well as the organization. The HR Generalist is a hands-on role that works collaboratively with management and Corporate HR to get things done in a variety of people related areas. The HR Generalist will work with HR department to develop and continuously improve the facility's HR systems and programs. Using a consultative approach, the HR Generalist brings perspective, insight, and a sense of partnership to the relationships built with the management team and employees.
-Serve as a resource and sounding board to managers to assure their management efforts are effective and allow employees to be successful in their jobs.
-Provide support, guidance, and coaching to all employees with respect to employee relational issues and interpretation of policy.
-Serve as mediator with manager/employee problems, maintaining balance of employee/employer advocacy.
-Conduct investigations of employee concerns or complaints.
-Assist management with the development of staffing plans based on departmental needs. Work with hiring managers to write compelling job descriptions. Actively recruit (linked in, university career fairs, etc...)
-Influences recruitment and selection decisions to best meet organizational need by participating in interviews and consensus selection meetings.
-Manage new employee orientation program and introduces new employees into company culture.
-Provide effective communication to employees regarding all benefit offerings.
-Provide support to employees with individual problems with insurance.
-Provide information and support to all employees for Leave of Absence benefits.
-Assist the HR department with managing temporary staffing agencies. Work with functional managers to ensure proper levels of staffing to meet the organization's goals and objectives.
-Ensure compliance to company personnel policies through training, leadership and enforcement.
-Maintain all employee files as well as all other required employee documentation.
-Provide insight and hands-on support as needed in regards to performance management, coaching, compensation, learning and development, recognition programs, and organizational review.
-Advice and review compensation recommendations during annual merit process and salary analysis for new hires, promotions, and adjustments.
-Attend all required staff meetings
-participate in budget and goal setting meetings
-participate in any meetings required to give Human Resources presence and perspective
-Administrate the weekly payroll
