West Safety Services is looking for a Database Administrator to add to its team in either Longmont CO. The core focus of this position will be responsible for providing a quality, high performance database processing environment by defining assigned database tables and coordinating physical changes to computer databases in a timely manner while adhering to established departmental standards and procedures
Key areas of emphasis include:
•Perform database patching, upgrades and migrations.
•Provide support for database related incidents and service requests.
•Work with business and technical teams to deploy and upgrade software products.
•Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures.
•Manage database access and security.
•Improve proactive monitoring of database systems.
•Establish enterprise database standards and best practices.

•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems, electrical engineering, computer engineer or a related field is required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.
•Minimum 2-year experience in computer science or MIS required, preferably including database administration experience.
•Based on area of responsibility and departmental need knowledge of one program platform (OS, Windows, Linux/UNIX) is required.
•Informix database administration with additional experience in Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NonStop, or MS SQL Server.
•Intermediate knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
