Senior IT Finance Analyst

As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for driving the development of thorough business cases guiding proper forecasting and investments for several IT business units in alignment with company strategic initiatives and financial goals. At its core, you will work cross functionally with business and IT leadership acting as a key liaison to ensure proper adherence to project intake and governance best practices. Your ability to advise leadership across both business and IT on topics such as business case development, identifying success measurements impacting long-range plans, establishing governance and gaining strategic alignment throughout the organization will be key.

Responsibilities

:

• Work directly with technical teams to define high level technical requirements, overall business case, financial metrics, KPIs, success criteria, etc

• Drive continuous improvement by automating, refining, and implementing processes, tools, and deliverables

• Responsible for establishing and maintaining a Business Case COE alongside sheparding the business cases through the operating model (end to end approach)

• Assist with providing support with both governance and gaining strategic alignment with our core initiatives

• Provide insight into portfolio prioritization and roadmap inputs

• Meets on a regular basis with BTP Business Partners (weekly/monthly, varies by role)

• Guide functional business partners to ensure sound financial decisions. Responsible for applicable financial metrics that impact Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow performance

• Dive deep and understand the upstream and downstream effects of business decisions

• Using a controllership mindset in creating clear and transparent financial analysis on the health of the business; understanding end-to-end process, standard work and controls

• Assess risks and opportunities and identify key operational and financial issues to be addressed. Provide recommendations and influence business decisions, which include presentations to senior management

• Assist in preparation of annual budget, quarterly and long-range forecasts

• Review monthly results and provide insights to aligned business partners




Qualifications include:



• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or an MBA

• 3+ years of experience in problem solving, which may include any forms of analysis beyond corporate financial analysis. Examples include but are not limited to: financial modeling, profitability analysis, Discounted Cash Flow/NPV, financial statement analysis, investment/ratio analysis, statistical or predictive analytics, data mining, risk identification, business valuation, etc.

• Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence even without specific authority

• Understanding of Lean Six Sigma, Agile methodologies

• Strong ability to think creatively, challenge the status quo, deal with ambiguity (building from a clean sheet of paper) and quickly adapt and grow

• Strong financial acumen and relevant financial skills, including quantitative problem solving

• Must be technologically savvy in order to drive effective means of analyzing and reporting critical business information.

• Broad business knowledge, end-to-end thinking, and organizational awareness

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and foster effective cross-functional collaboration

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to understand the details and effectively interface and story-tell to Senior Management
