Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an administrative professional with 3+ years of experience writing customs entries.  Our client located in the Fort Lauderdale area is widely recognized as an international industry leader offering an incredible work environment and tremendous growth opportunity.  This is a contract to hire role with strong benefits offered once permanant. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Process Custom entry documentation including necessary documents for government agencies including the FDA, USDA etc. - Responsible for entry filing of agricultural products for all ports of entry - Ensure that all entries are filed and freight delivered in a timely manner  - Monitor and advise on the clearance of containers - Review documents post-entry for accuracy - Assist departments in coming up with solutions and resolving problems - Audit commercial documents to ensure all federal requirements are met - Collaborate with coworkers and other departments to ensure data integrity and compliance with SOPs - Other administrative support duties as needed JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Understanding of US Customs and Tariff Codes - Familiarity with running ACE reports - Knowledge or coursework in Supply Chain, Logistics and/or International Business a plus - Experience with government agencies - Experience with date and temperature controlled goods, food industry experience +++ - Minimum 3 years of experience and/or training as an entry writer or experience in customs broker operations - Measurable knowledge in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Browser) along with strong IT skills - Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus - Bachelor's Degree (preferred) - Analytical nature and problem-solving skills, experience in taking initiative and making appropriate decisions.
