Technical Leadership (IPT Lead) for engineering to develop a system and transition system hardware from development to production activities. The candidate will act as IPT Lead Engineer for a major development program. Candidate must have direct technical expertise in System Requirements Analysis / Flow down, mechanical design, electrical design, Integration & Test, including fabrication, build, and assembly to demonstrate qualification testing of the tactical hardware, and basic knowledge of electrical, software, and firmware or their surrogates. Candidate should have at least 2 years of relevant experience leading more than 5 engineers, Mechanical and Electrical Leadership, and customer interaction. IPT lead must be willing to be the Cost Account Manager to support the engineering development program. So take on what's never been done before. Become a Lockheed Martin engineer. Basic Qualifications:
- Candidate must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
- Engineering management or Engineering team lead experience including task planning, budget
management, subcontract management, or employee development and mentoring
- Process Improvement and Affordability experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical systems/programs
- BS Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Desired Skills:
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- 9+ years of professional experience; or 7+ years of professional experience with a related Master's degree
- Prior Engineering Management Experience
- Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and follow a schematic/spec/drawing
- Proposal Development Experience; Basis of Estimate (BOE) Development
- Control Account Manager (CAM) experience; Earned Value Management Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong business acumen, management influence, and whole systems thinking
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
