TITLE: Repair Supervisor

LOCATION: Houston, TX

DIRECT REPORTS: 10 employees

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

GRADE BAND: L10-Operational

REPORTS TO: Plant Manager

FUNCTION:
This person will be reporting to the Plant Manager. This individual will supervise the shift and manage technicians responsible for Repairing the Tractor. This position will require someone with strong technical skills on repairing the tractors and managing technicians in the factory floor Position will mainly entail, but not be limited to the following tasks:
  • Will supervise and assist repairing tractors Managing Daily Repair Schedule
  • Will coordinate with Material Department on Parts required for repairing tractor.
  • Ensure each tractor goings thru a defined Work Order System for Repair and have birth history.
  • Engage with Master Scheduler and Plant Manager on Repair Tractor Production Schedule, Forecasting and Planning
  • Thorough knowledge and experience on day to day to operation management in the factory floor
  • Report Repair Production Status daily.
  • Thorough knowledge on Lean Management, Factory Floor 5-S
  • Lead the Root cause analysis on Repairs and driving it back to the source.
  • Be a Change Agent on Reducing the Repair Tractors
  • Ensure Inventory Accuracy are performed in area and have a strong performance.
  • Maintain a clean working environment

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in vehicle or farm equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Experience of working in production manufacturing facility is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills to converse with employees, upper management, dealers, and vendors in person and via phone and email.
  • Ability to read, to write, and to speak English language fluently and speaking knowledge on Spanish.
  • Excellent problem resolution skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office, (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced distribution environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to lift and hold up to 50lbs unassisted.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is repeatedly required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for long periods of the day.

EDUCATION:
Must have Bachelor's Degree with 5 Years Experience or an Associate with 8-10 Years
