Description:1. General Job duties. Types of procedures required. •Our family medicine physicians are part of client, operates a 17-bed acute care Critical Access Hospital offering inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery, therapy, screenings, and emergency services. • Client offers additional health and life services including Fairbury and Plymouth family medicine clinics, Burkley Fitness Center, Gardenside (Long Term Care), and Home Health services.•In addition, client supports numerous education programs and support groups.•Our family medicine physicians provide services in JCH&L Fairbury Clinic and/or Plymouth Clinic Monday through Friday, and in JCH&L ER as supervisor to PACs on call.Our family medicine physicians care for families and individuals, including:•Injury care (including ER coverage)•Disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery, including during hospitalization at JCH&L.•Perform surgical and other procedures (colonoscopies, EGDs, scopes and lesion excisions) as appropriate with experience and competency.•Prescribe and administers medications, perform routine vaccinations, and provide advice regarding personal health and hygiene.•Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists as necessary•Ensure quality clinical and hospital care in a safe, efficient, competent and effective manner•Prepare records and reports as required in support of services in accordance with established procedures•Attend and participate in patient care conferences, team conferences, professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional activities as appropriate.•Optional – ObstetricsSpecialist that come to Fairbury: •Audiology, cardiology, ear, nose and throat care, e-mental health, general surgery, immunizations, obstetrics/gynaecology, oncology/hematology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, podiatry, radiology, and urology2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)•Currently Medhost•Will be moving to Cerner (EHR)3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)•Medical Degree from an accredited school, with license to practice in Nebraska•Successful completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency•Current certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)•BLS•ACLS5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) •Clinic work Monday thru Thursday (3 weeks out of the month), Monday through Friday (1 week out of the month)•ER call 1:4 back-up call --- PA is primary call.6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.•Clinic (average annual visits 17,500)•Hospital In-patients (average daily census 4-5), •Emergency Department (average annual visits 2650)•Obstetrics - Optional8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (Nursing only)9. Dress Code:•Business Casual10.
