Design engineer who is responsible for the development, design, and integration of chassis platform systems into industry leading heavy duty specialty vehicles. Chassis Platform includes, but not limited to, axles and suspensions, steering, fuel systems, and frame structure.
Develop and design advanced vehicle components and systems. Apply theoretical principles and engineering techniques in designing a vehicle that is reliable, serviceable, energy efficient, competitive and uses the latest technology available in the industry. Interface with engineering personnel to determine the most effective and economic materials to be used in product parts. Interface with Test & Development personnel to analyze problems encountered in prototype development/testing. Provide creative, technically feasible solutions.
Interface and coordinate with purchasing, vendors, BOM, manufacturing and other engineering personnel in the product development and testing phases.
Research state-of-the-art developments in the vehicle industry and apply the latest advances.
Apply statistical and engineering techniques in designing and testing. Use programming and modeling techniques in conjunction with mathematical analysis.
Interface with product regulation and compliance personnel to design vehicles that meet government regulations, restrictions and codes.
Support the development and design of complex vehicle components and systems
from concept through production.
• Apply statistical and engineering analysis techniques for design and testing.
• Collaborate with Test & Development personnel to analyze problems encountered in
prototype development & testing. Provide creative, technically feasible solutions.
• Utilize engineering modeling and drawing software to develop, integrate, and release
new product for the heavy duty specialty vehicle markets.
• Interface and coordinate with purchasing, vendors, BOM, manufacturing and other
engineering personnel in the product development and testing phases.
• Interchange with service personnel to provide effective, reliable, and safe solutions to enhance the customer experience with FCCC products.
• Interface with product regulation and compliance personnel to design vehicles that meet government regulations, restrictions, and codes.
• Collaborate with engineering personnel to design reliable, serviceable, safe, and economic products to be used in heavy duty specialty vehicle markets.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university/college with 1 year of related experience OR an Associate’s Degree with 2 years of related experience or 6 years of related experience required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2 years of related experience or an
Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 4 years of related experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment involving material specifications, testing,
trouble shooting, and failure analysis is required.
