At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. As the Engineering Manager for the D4 Min Safe / Surveillance and Maintenance Engineering team, you will have overall responsibility for leadership and management of assigned technical staff as well as functional leadership for the engineering process.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Manage and lead a team of engineers and designers to maintain the safe and compliant status of facilities within the D4 scope, in support of D4 End State Project Operations and in support of D4 Maintenance. This scope includes inactive facilities such as REDOX, PUREX, B-Plant, U-Plant, and other associated facilities and buildings; 400 area (FFTF and associated buildings), and B-Reactor. This includes responsibilities for system PMs and procedures, maintenance and work planning support, system troubleshooting, and facility walk downs. Support for demolition preparation, isolation index development and cold & dark preparations will also be a part of the responsibilities of this engineering group

* Maintain compliance with all CPCCo Engineering requirements including configuration control, at all times following engineering procedure requirements as well as all applicable contractual requirements, company procedures, and applicable standard code requirements for facility modifications, engineering calculations and document preparations and release.

* Appoint and qualify Design Authorities and designers/drafters. Additionally appoint technical staff and site engineers authorized to perform engineering functions and technical work.

* Participate in project planning and scheduling activities.

* Participate in CPCCo Engineering leadership functions.

* Frequently communicate and interact with all management levels within the project, facility, as well as, Department of Energy, Ecology, and any other regulatory agency as necessary.

* Maintain an environment where employees are free to raise safety issues, ethical concerns, or improvement initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

* Manager Grade 20 - Bachelor's of Science degree in an engineering or equivalent scientific discipline plus 8 years of relevant experience and at least 4 years of required relevant experience must be nuclear experience.

* Manager Grade 21 - Bachelor's of Science degree in an engineering or equivalent scientific discipline plus 10 years of relevant experience and at least 4 years of required relevant experience must be nuclear experience.

The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.

Desired Qualifications

* Excellent written and oral communications.

* Professional Engineering (PE) License.

* Extensive experience working in a multi-discipline engineering environment with engineering processes and procedures.

Compensation & Benefits

In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.

Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):

* Grade 20: $126,025 - $158,875.

* Grade 21: $138,700 - $174,900.

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
