Human Factors Engineer - Ability to Obtain a Clearance with Security Clearance

LOOKING FOR: Are you an experienced Human Factors Engineer with experience supporting federal programs? If so, we have an amazing opportunity supporting our Ship Design Team in Washington, DC! As a Human Factors Engineer you will:
• Work within the Maritime Lifecycle Readiness Division to provide on-site support to the United States Coast Guard.

A week in the life of a Human Factors Engineer:
• Planall phases of laboratory and field studies based off customer needs.
• Provide quantitative, qualitative, analytical, and evaluative methods of systems analysis to assess human performance, cognitive workload, GUI usability and interaction, ergonomics, and requirements verification.
• Conducts evaluations from inception to completion, including the identification of facilities, measurement methods, subjects, collection and analysis of data, and documentation of results.
• Accurately documentthe results ofevaluations in reports, Coast Guard letters, memos, briefings, or demonstrations aimed at increased operational effectiveness
• Recommend design alternatives, trade-offsor additional study efforts

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000
Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Factors Engineering or related field
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance 7+ years of experience in:
• Relevantexperience in human factors engineering 3+ years of experience in:
• Applying Human System Integration (HSI) in a system design environment 1+ years of engineering experience in:
• Working with Marine systems EOE Minorities/Women/Disabled/Veterans/Gender Identity/Sexual Orientation
