The candidate will perform general housekeeping, and preventative and corrective maintenance. The individual will work on a rotating on-call schedule to support plant operations during equipment breakdowns. Performing inspections, upkeep and inventory of the shop safety equipment, bandsaws, drill presses, hoists, cum-a-longs, slings, chokers, shackles/pins and ladders are required. Rigging ladders and scaffolding will be necessary. The job requires performing preventative maintenance inspections on conveyor belt, drag, apron and screw, and on all other operating equipment as assigned and lubricating equipment as required. Requirements are inspecting and repairs/replaces crane cables and internal trammel. The duties include taking measurement readings using tapes, rulers, squares, levels and feeder gages to determine repair particulars. Taking readings, interpreting and utilizing stores catalog and equipment manuals for technical clarification and requisitioning parts and material are required. This individual will operate computer to access Maintenance Management program for equipment history and work order review, both corrective and preventive.

To be considered for this position a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required and one to three months related experience and/or training in similar situation
