Description of Role : Operations Analyst

Global Macro Hedge Fund based in New York, NY and Stamford, CT seeks a resourceful problem-solver to manage day-to-day responsibilities within our business team. The position will help to develop and oversee a strong internal control environment to manage operations, risk management, fund accounting reporting. Partnering with the team, identifying risks and proposing solutions is key to the success of this role. Preferably looking for someone who has experience in the futures/options/FX/OTC cleared/equity space.

Responsibilities: (specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to)
  • Help develop a control framework across all the business functions : finance, operations, investor relations
  • Perform daily trading operations, including dealing with end to end processes from trade execution to settlement (T+0 monitoring and processing of trading activity, T+1 reconciliations with clearing brokers and administrators)
  • Assist in fund accounting and reporting
  • Take part in the treasury/cash/risk management function

  • Bachelor / Master degree in finance / accounting / CS / engineering
  • 2-7 years of relevant experience related to hedge fund or capital markets operations / accounting / business / risk development
  • Experience working with equities, FX, fixed income and commodities products
  • Advanced Excel/VBA skills with some SQL/programming knowledge
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Must be a team player with very good communication skills (internal and external)

  • Base Salary: $100,000/yr - $150,000/yr
  • Compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location
