Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation’s premier electrical and mechanical subcontractors and industry professionals. Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for the position of Mechanical/HVAC Superintendent in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Mechanical/HVAC Superintendent Compensation & Benefits

Total compensation for the Mechanical/HVAC Superintendent in Charlotte, NC between $38-46 an hour depending on experience, and may be more than this range for candidates with exceptional experience and successful history of performance.

Mechanical/HVAC Superintendent Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for company’s field trades on each project
  • Responsible for material list, close out documents, site safety
  • Establish work schedules and loading charts
  • Collaborate with project management team regarding material needs
  • Interact with general contractor on day to day scheduling and performance issues
  • Jointly responsible with the project manager for having material, tools, equipment, information and appropriate manpower in the proper place in a timely fashion
  • Monitor work as performed, managing subordinate supervisors and crews
  • Responsible for overall safety on project

Mechanical/HVAC Superintendent Qualifications

  • Journeyman License
  • Must be able to pass a drug and background test
  • Large commercial and industrial project experience
  • Must have stable work history
  • Software: MS Office and BlueBeam
  • Prefer local candidates, however, for the right candidate will consider relocation
  • Must have safety certifications (OSHA Confined Space etc)
  • Will be responsible for up to 4 crews and 50-80 personnel

Preferred but Not Necessary

  • College degree preferred
  • Experience with design/build
  • Field/Installation experience
