Job Description

  • "Provide Oracle 12.x functional/technical expertise in financial modules including, but not limited to, subledger accounting, projects, general ledger, accounts receivable, payables, i-expense, cash management, fixed asset, inventory, i-procurement, and purchasing, to support the following:

  • Application design, analysis, configuration, and implementation of improvements to meet all enhancement requirements and specifications with approval from NREL.

  • Perform unit and user acceptance testing on all configuration work.

  • Provide functional specifications and decision documentation.

  • Provide requirement analysis, process review, feature design, application configuration, documentation, and implementation services for production support and system enhancements within Oracle Financial R12 Accounts Receivable and Project billing modules to meet the US Treasury and DOE’s requirements.

  • Provide leadership and expertise to review and recommend improvements based upon “best practices” and current Oracle functionality for applicable business processes.Identify /review processes, document gaps, and provide solutions to address gaps and enhance processes based on customer business needs.Discover and document requirements working with users.

  • Provide support to our Oracle user community by addressing system function anomalies, and end-user training, questions, or issues.

  • Provide functional analysis and support for Oracle EBS system.

  • Develop designs and data mapping for interfaces, extensions, conversions, and reports.

  • Evaluate current business processes and identify improvement opportunities that optimize information flow and maximize productivity and scalability

  • Assist with test plans, training sessions and documentation, provide testing documentation, and perform testing activities.

  • Creates training and informational materials at a level and form suitable for the intended audience.

  • Provide input to planning and scheduling direction for project and release management.Assess short-term and long-term trade-offs and make recommendations to the business and technology teams.

  • Design solutions to address complex business problems, advocate for scalable solutions that achieve the outcomes of new or existing business processes.Provide analysis and problem resolution to implement fixes to reported problems.

  • Provide backup production support for the Oracle EBS Financial Systems Analyst.

Basic Qualifications

Relevant Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant Master's Degree and 3 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant PhD or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant JD or equivalent relevant education/experience. Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines. Considerable knowledge of laws, regulations, principles, procedures and practices related to specific field. Strong leadership, project management and problem solving skills. Ability to use various computer software programs.

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)

Job Profile: Professional III / Annual Salary Range: $77,600 - $139,700

NREL takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, a potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
