Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for analysis of a wide range of samples submitted by CF customers, CF manufacturing sites and distribution facilities, and others. These include CF products, unknown materials for qualitative and quantitative identification as well as samples generated in support of special projects. This position is located at the CF Corporate Technical Services Lab located in Yazoo City, MS. This position will require some travel to CF Manufacturing and Distribution Facility sites. This position will work closely with one or more chemical technicians.

Job Description:

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from an A.C.S. accredited chemistry program is required. 
  • Minimum of 1 year of Analytical Chemistry laboratory experience desired.   
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.  Both informal and formal data reporting and use of IT tools be required. Presentation skills sufficient to communicate thoughts succinctly to Lab Supervisor and Operations managers. 
  • Applicants may be requested to submit examples of Technical Reports, Papers, and Presentations, which have been personally prepared by the applicant.  Applicants considered will be required to present briefly on an Analytical Skill or Technique to demonstrate proficiency (Examples: Spectroscopy, Chromatography, Qualitative Analysis etc.)
  • Fully committed to CF’s Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Values.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent time management skills and be comfortable working in an environment where priorities change rapidly. 
  • Experience with ICP, FT-IR, and Chromatography is valuable.
