  • Troubleshoot and service molds and/or dies to support production requirements.

  • Make, replace parts, fit and align parts as required for satisfactory performance after assembly

  • Make complex types of tools, jigs, fixtures, etc., including the machining of component parts as necessary.

  • Analyze and alter different types of tools for functional improvement and lengthening of tool life.

  • Operate and observe new and repaired installations to check performance before release for operations

  • Capable of operating machinery (including welding equipment) to manufacture tooling used in die maintenance and repair.

  • Follow mold/die and tooling maintenance work instructions to ensure the controlled process of preparing molds and dies for use in the casting production environment.

  • Perform tasks related to mold and die maintenance in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Maintain all mold /die and tooling preparation records (paper, electronic) in accordance with quality standards as outlined in Tool Room work instructions.

  • Possess basic blueprint reading skills.

  • Provide support to floor operations during each shift while in the plant when assistance is requested.

  • Ability to diagnose equipment problems %26amp; take appropriate corrective action

  • Willing to work with others to promote efficiency, harmony and unity.

  • Other duties and tasks will be assigned as needed to meet goals and commitments.

  • This position may be required to perform additional roles based on HR Matrix

Authorities: Employee has the authority to shut down any operation that is producing parts that do not meet specification or any operation that represents a safety risk.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma required.

EXPERIENCE: Proven experience with lamination dies or/and die cast molds, setting and troubleshooting dies and equipment related.

TRAINING: Yellow Belt Training is desired. Tool %26amp; Die Apprenticeship (NIMS) certificate is desired
