Regional Account Manager in North Houston, TX

Position Summary: The Regional Account Manager is an integral part of the regional management team, serving as the primary point of contact for all facility (customer) relationships within the region. The RAM proactively manages and nurtures key relationships, ensuring a high level of responsiveness and superior customer service thereby contributing to Deer Oaks' success in the region. The RAM reports to the Regional Director of Business Development. RAM's primary objectives are to maintaining current business, sign new business, and correct low-performing facilities by appropriately increasing referral volumes and managing caseload utilization.

Deer Oaks requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID as a condition of employment.

COVID-19 considerations: PPE provided for all clinicians providing in-person services (includes mask, face shield, gown, etc.). Telehealth may be available on a temporary basis depending on location.

Essential Position Responsibilities:

Customer Focused Activities:
  • Routinely and regularly interacting with and visiting in person with each facility in the region
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key facility stakeholders
  • Identifying opportunities to expand services
  • Proactively identifying and addressing negative trends in volume
  • Proactively identifying potential clinical service delivery issues and immediately addressing with RD of Business Development.
  • Addressing facility requests and concerns immediately
  • Effectively utilizing Deer Oaks CRM (Salesforce) on a daily basis including documenting all customer contacts to ensure that the entire team is informed and aware
  • Provides field support to the clinical team
  • Manages facility clinical assignments
  • Ensures referrals and related processes run as designed
  • Monitors activity to ensure facility needs are being met
  • Grows facility caseloads, expands (or protects) services, and generally ensures happy customers on a day-to-day basis
  • Receives and responds timely to calls from client facility staff and patient families, triage's and problem-solves issues as appropriate; understands when to refer issues to RCM or other regional staff
  • Interfaces with and serves as primary contact with the facility administrator/executive director, director of nursing services, and the director of social services at client facilities on an ongoing basis to ensure client satisfaction
  • Responds immediately to urgent calls from the facility and facilitates problem-solving - escalates issues within Deer Oaks as appropriate. Follows up with the facilities to ensure satisfaction
  • Coordinates delivery of in-service education programs at client facilities
  • Attends care team meetings at facilities as well as other pertinent facility functions
  • Works in collaboration with the RCM to communicate effectively with facility staff about staffing related changes, including scheduling and clinical staff changes

Business Development/Regional Planning:
  • Works collaboratively with regional business development staff to support the development of new business, and set and achieve regional goals related to new development and maintenance of current business
  • Supports regional marketing strategy and coordinates execution of new facility contracts; expands scope and depth of services in existing accounts
  • Develops plans to manage and improve under-performing facilities-from a focus of maximizing limited clinician resources, i.e., deploying clinicians where they can be most effective
  • Networks within long-term care, mental health facilities, and local associations to generate new business for the company.
  • Participates in the recruiting and onboarding of new providers at assigned facilities. Share responsibility for clinician retention with other members of the regional management team

Corporate Communications:
  • Communicates with executive management team regarding significant issues/concerns
  • Collaborates with executive management on reviewing, revising, and developing new contracts with facilities


Qualifications

  • Able to work independently; demonstrates efficient work habits
  • Effectively work within a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Analytical, excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills; identifies complex problems and reviews related data to develop and evaluate options and recommend or implement solutions
  • Able to travel frequently
  • Minimum 2 years experience in long-term care or a similar setting
  • Two years of business experience and two years of college or related work; college degree a plus
