Schaeffler, a dynamic global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking an Electronics / Calibration Technician at our State of the Art North American Automotive Center in Troy, MI. This position supports the product development process through the technical support of electrical / electronic or mechanical systems associated with test rigs for the Product Validation department.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Maintain calibration and/or preventive maintenance electronic systems, ensuring tasks are completed on time
Perform and document maintenance/calibration tasks
Support test engineers and technicians with technical support to resolve rig issues
Perform mechanical or electrical repairs and builds
Create technical documentation for calibration/maintenance instructions and reports
Qualified candidates will have:
Minimum High School Diploma and 3 years experience as an automotive related technician or Associate degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Technology, or similar degree
Experience with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation software and/or control systems
Technical background in test rigs and equipment
Technical background with the requirements and execution of equipment maintenance/ calibration
Ability to comprehend mechanical drawings or electrical schematics
