Job Description

Job Summary

  • Operates as a member of the technical sales support team
  • Driven to deliver a best in class customer experience while working directly and indirectly with customers, sales and internal functional departments
  • Responsible for researching, specifying, and quoting the best auxiliary extrusion equipment and system solutions.
  • Assists Sales in closing and processing orders
  • Supports internal departments as a technical resource

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with Customers, Customer Service Representatives, Regional Sales Managers and Engineering daily to clarify design data information requirements for quotations and orders.
  • Generate Quotations
  • Obtain order details, (both commercial and technical)
  • Enter Sales Orders using current systems, following clean order policies.
  • Communicate order status to the customer.
  • Support both the engineering and production departments in Sales Order related activities as needed.
  • Manage multiple projects

Education and Experience Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Science or related engineering discipline is preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position is preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of plastic extrusion process and equipment is preferred
  • Detail oriented with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to interface with customers directly in a professional manner.
  • Analytical and problem solving ability with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Ability to conduct product training and present technical presentations to professional societies and customers
  • Ability to identify and implement application support tools for sales, applications, and customer service.
  • Experience in AutoCAD or SolidWorks required.
  • Hands-on extrusion process knowledge, preferred
