About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Analytics Consultant to support Risk Analytics within the Merchant Services CRO team

In this role, you will:
  • Advise experienced leadership to develop or influence statistical modeling, analytical strategies, and advanced data visualization for complex business and technical needs
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring analytical application of industry techniques, advance data from multiple sources, and mathematics behind data analysis across the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical, and coordination of highly complex activities
  • Design and lead complex projects, analyses, and application of techniques across the enterprise
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that align to the enterprise
  • Engage with peers, managers risk, compliance, managers across the enterprise, and serve as an expert advisor to leadership team
  • Build out risk analytics reporting capabilities for the Merchant Services CRO team in order to enable effective independent risk monitoring
  • Perform periodic risk model validation & documentation
  • Provide and maintain process procedures in accordance with the bank's best practices
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting to the Merchant Services CRO team
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 7+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years SAS or SQL
  • 2+ years Tableau or other visual analytics reporting tools
  • 5+ years in developing models, validating models and documenting model performance
  • 5+ years of banking or financial services industry experience

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines while balancing multiple priorities
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem solving techniques
  • Ability to research, compile, and perform complex data analysis
  • Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, insightful and actionable information, and make recommendations to different audiences
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Python experience a plus
  • Merchant Services experience a plus
  • Risk analytics experience a plus
