The Indiana Memorial Union (IMU) has been the heart of the Indiana University Bloomington campus for more than 100 years. Each year thousands of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests enjoy the many amenities and opportunities the IMU has to offer.
The 189 room Biddle Hotel, located within the Indiana Memorial Union, is the largest hotel in Bloomington, Indiana. At the Biddle, guests enjoy upscale accommodations and first-rate amenities while only being steps away from some of Bloomington's best dining, shopping, arts and entertainment, and nightlife. Job Summary
- Performs tasks related to day-to-day hotel operations, including check-in/out of guests, answering telephone and email inquiries, making reservations, and providing information to guests.
- Resolves guest issues, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Delegates tasks related to room preparation to other hotel staff, including temporary, housekeeping, and maintenance staff.
- May assist with general cleanup and upkeep of hotel lobby space, including changing trash bins, wiping and dusting hard surfaces, or cleaning up spills.
- Provides directions and general information to Indiana Memorial Union visitors.
- High school diploma or GED.

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
