Job Description

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), located in Reno, Nevada is seeking applicants for a part-time (32 hours) Administrative Assistant 1 for the Educational Programs Inspiring the Community (EPIC) department.

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure a welcoming environment and to greet, provide information, and direct students and guests at the Meadowood Center. This position locks and unlocks classrooms and performs maintenance and custodial facility assessments and submits work requests. This position would be responsible for the supervision, training, and scheduling of part-time attendants.

Required Qualifications

This position requires graduation from high school or equivalent education and one (1) year of clerical experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintaining records, answering telephones, and reviewing forms, documents and other written materials; OR six (6) months of experience as an Administrative Aid in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

Preferred Qualifications

1. In-depth knowledge of TMCC programming and services offered at the Meadowood Center.

2. Two years of customer service experience.

Schedule

The typical schedule is Monday through Thursday, 1pm - 10pm, this is subject to change based on organizational needs.

Compensation Grade

Grade 23 (Entry, Step 01 $15.19/hr - Step 03, $16.43/hr)
