SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Responsible for general accounting matters including account reconciliations, journal entry preparation and end of month reporting matters.
  • Responsible for managing the monthly close process.
  • Active involvement in the Company's Total Quality Management process as evidenced by continuous improvement of processes directed toward reducing costs, improving cycle time, increasing sales/gross profit and customer satisfaction.

JOB DUTIES
 

  • Manage the monthly close process making sure all standard transactions are entered in a timely manner.
  • Manage the close meetings making sure all fluctuations are researched and explained.
  • Coordinate annual SOX internal controls review.
  • Coordinate external and internal audit requirements.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to multiple subsidiaries.
  • Participate in formulating and successfully implementing goals and objectives.
  • Manage and direct General Accounting staff in the performance of their monthly duties.
  • Review of staff prepared account analyses.
  • Manage and direct account reconciliation process for completeness and timeliness.
  • Assist with the development of the annual operating plans.
  • Represent the department on cross-functional projects. Contributes significantly to the development and administration of the overall department training and quality improvement programs.
  • Takes a leadership role in the continuous improvement program of the department.
  • Responsible for procedures to ensure that transactions are executed in accordance with general or specific authorization.  Maintain accurate, complete and timely records of business transactions.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in formulating and successfully implementing goals and objectives.
  • Access to assets within area of responsibility is permitted only in accordance with general or specific authorization.
  • Work closely with other departments on matters of mutual concern and responsibilities.
  • Write and deliver presentations and prepare reports as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Equivalent to four years’ college study in accounting principles.  More than ten years experience.
  • Preferably experienced with SAP, BPC and Blackline.
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • CPA or candidate
  • Prior supervisor experience
