 This great opportunity is with a reputable health system located in Northern California. The Interim Infection Preventionist would be joining a critical access hospital located on a beautiful, 10,000 square foot campus that has been recently renovated to include the latest and most advanced healthcare technology. This full-service, Top 100 Critical Access hospital offers a wide-array of amenities including behavioral health, diagnostic imaging, paediatrics, urgent care, women’s services, and 24/7 Emergency Services.

 The Interim Infection Preventionist will be joining a 60+ patient bed hospital that has been serving the Tahoe area and its surrounding community for over 75 years. This beautifully equipped hospital has been recognized on both the local and national level as seen with their 2020 Guardian of Excellence Press Ganey Award, their BETA Heart Award, and their Press Ganey Seal of Integrity. Not only is this a great hospital, but it’s also an entity of a larger, reputable health system that the Interim Infection Preventionist will gain great exposure to.

As Interim Infection Preventionist, this individual will be welcomed by a tight-knit team of healthcare professionals that work together to ensure that patient health standards are maintained. Responsibilities in this role include collaboration with Employee Health Services, adhering to the infection prevention and control policies that have been implemented, and tracking pertinent quality indicators as identified by the Quality and Infection Prevention and Control Committee.

Although not required, an Interim Infection Preventionist with their Certified Infection Control (CIC) Certification and/ or California State RN license will make for quick interviews! Prior experience in the acute-care setting is also an extra plus for the Interim Infection Preventionist with this reputable hospital.
