Administers occupational therapy treatment in accordance with professional standards as outlined by the South Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy. Accurately documents all treatments, communication, and orders on a daily basis. Competently evaluates patient with a variety of conditions and develops patient specific treatment plans as appropriate. Completed annual education as required by state licening board.
Consistently reports any changes in the patients condition to the RN/MD as indicated. Consistently sets applicable goals upon completion of evaluation. Consults with patients family, physician, nursing staff in development of treatment plan. Continuously coordinates treatment with other disciplines for improved patient outcomes. Effectively utilizes available therapeutic modalities to maximize care.
Provides patient treatment according to established standards of practice and under the direction of a licensed physician. Realistically develops long and short term goals to achieve maximum patient benefit.
Re-evaluates and updates plan of care as needed. Routinely performs treatment as ordered by physician order within O.T. standard of care. Skillfully performs evaluation of patient’s physical status and ability to perform self care. Works well as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
Education: Graduate of Accredited O.T. Program
Experience: Graduate of an accredited OT program
Licenses/Certificates: Licensed in the State of South Carolina
