Finance Manager job in Minneapolis at Fredrikson & Byron, P.A.

Fredrikson & Byron, one of the Upper Midwest's largest business and trial law firms, has an opportunity available for a Finance Manager. The legal industry is evolving and therefore this position presents a unique opportunity for the financial professional who has both strong accounting and analytical skills. We are seeking an experienced finance professional who would partner with our Controller and Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis on various responsibilities including:

• Managing the general ledger and month end close process
• Assist in preparing financial reports and interpreting financial information for various constituents of the Firm
• Implementing enhancements to improve accounting and financial policies and procedures
• Assisting with the yearend review of financial statements, preparation of tax returns and other tax reporting requirements
• Support budget and forecasting activities
• Determine how best to use existing and new tools to provide insightful financial information
• Serve as a financial consultant to departments, partnering with them on their financial goals and performance metrics
• Provide financial and data analysis in support of the Firm’s strategic goals and initiatives
• Assist in the implementation of key financial application projects
