The Business Segment **Sustainable Energy Systems** (SE TI SES) develops, manufactures, and sells innovative Hydrogen and Power-to-X systems, solutions and services based on the SILYZER portfolio. With this innovative electrochemical system, water is split into its components hydrogen and oxygen using the PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) and (green) electricity. The Electrical Engineer Primary Systems participates in the professional management of all relevant planning and execution works related to the construction of the power supply of the electrolysis plants and is responsible for all electrical topics during the preparation of competitive proposals and the execution of projects worldwide. Throughout the execution phase of a project the Specialist Electrical Engineer coordinates the electrical interfaces to suppliers and EPC partners. They ensure that relevant Siemens Energy processes, workflows, and guidelines are followed.
**How You'll Make an Impact (Responsibilities of role)**
The specific responsibilities assigned to the position (but not limited to) are:
+ Specification of electrical power supply components, factory acceptance tests and supervision of construction works
+ Management of suppliers and collaborate with EPC partners
+ Support of proposal preparations to develop driven and high-quality customer focused bids for hydrogen generation plants
+ Creation of required customer documentation
+ Qualification and selection of suppliers for electric power components in coordination with the procurement department
**What You Bring** **(Candidate Requirements)**
+ Master's degree in electrical engineering preferred, with focus on power engineering or power electronics
+ 8+ years of experience in design, construction and/or commissioning of electrical power systems
+ Experience in project execution as a part of the project/site team
+ Knowledge of relevant global standards, regulations, and guidelines, especially grid codes
+ Experience with converter control systems preferred
+ Experience in proposal preparation is an advantage
+ Willingness to travel intercontinental
+ Experience in COMOS as an electrical planning tool is a plus
+ Sound knowledge and experience in the areas electrical power distribution, power electronics and special expertise in DC-technology with double-digit kA currents is an advantage
+ Fluent in English, German is a plus.
+ Great passion for the area of energy transition and decarbonization.
+ High degree of flexibility and agility, with a self-directed work style characterized by initiative.
+ Willingness and pleasure to develop joint innovative solutions in interdisciplinary teams
+ Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers
