Job Title: Process & Facilities Engineer
Location: Northeast PA

Summary: Provides technical assistance to Facilities Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations in a manufacturing environment. Assists in facility design and various engineering tasks associated with the facility planning, design, process optimization, and procurement of equipment and production materials. Provides technical expertise on various standards and engineering requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
* Assists Facility Engineer and acts as a key contributor in the execution of projects.
* Provide guidance and oversight in the development and execution of renovations and expansions; coordinates outside contractors and vendors, preparing requests for proposal and contracting architectural and construction management services.
* Assists the Sr. Maintenance Mechanic and/or other appropriate leadership with programs, activities and responsibilities of the maintenance department.
* Develop and/or implement process modification to improve overall efficiency, reliability and quality of the various production processes.
* Monitors and reports on all phases of planning and construction.
* Troubleshoot process issues and work collaborating with maintenance and production teams to correct and reduce risk of reoccurrence.
* Coordinates all parties involved in the planning, design, and construction process.
* Analyze process and reliability data to help identify opportunities for improvement throughout operation.
* Ensures high quality service standards are met for all projects/contracts.
* Maintains and monitors functioning of existing production equipment and facilities infrastructure.
* Understanding on PM best practices for various manufacturing and facility systems.
* Assists in GMP compliance.
* Maintains safety on each job project in accordance with approved safety rules and regulations to include conducting safety inspections.
* Assist and perform troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems. This involves communication with original equipment manufacturers to facilitate optimized corrective action plan to minimize downtime.
* Oversee in-house calibration program for all process instrumentation.
* Provide maintenance of CMMS system, including PM procedures, document storage, invoice logging, and interface with Facilities Engineer for timely signoff of invoices and subsequent payment.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree (BA) in Engineering from four-year college or university; Mechanical Engineer degree preferred
* 5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, inventory/database software and the internet. Necessary skills include contact management systems, database software, design software, spreadsheet and word processing software
* Knowledge of facilities planning and construction management processes and procedures.
* Knowledge of laws governing construction contracts and contracting.
* Knowledge of construction materials and methods.
* Skill in reading and interpreting plans and specifications and to compare them with construction progress.
* Strong organization and communication skills with attention to detail
* Ability to implement practical yet effective process modification
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
* Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis.
* Knowledge of math & engineering theory.
