The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $270,000 and $320,000/year*

Department Overview:

* Legal team of regulatory and transactional attorneys supporting all Global Markets businesses, including Equities, Rates, Credit, FX, Securitized Products and various Solutions businesses

Role description:

* Work closely with the Business with respect to the structuring, sale, negotiation, documentation and execution of a wide range of equity products, with a primary focus on equity derivatives, cash and synthetic prime brokerage, equity-linked notes and equity and fund-linked loans
* Advise and assist in the creation, structuring, regulatory analysis and launch of new products and businesses, including a structured note program
* Interpret, educate and assist with the implementation of regulatory changes (e.g. SEC, FINRA) that impact equities businesses
* Advise the Business, Risk, Compliance and others internally regarding legal and regulatory issues, developments and risks relating to equities businesses
* Assist with ongoing advocacy efforts relating to regulatory changes impacting equities businesses

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

* Strong experience with equity products, ideally including OTC derivatives and/or structured products
* Familiarity with ISDA and other industry documentation
* Familiarity with corporate, securities, creditor, finance and bankruptcy laws and related issues
* Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills -- ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management
* Ability to work independently and respond proactively to business needs
* Strong team player
* base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
