Fast growing company with operations in US is looking for a customer oriented credit and collection specialist to be part of this niche industry in charge of restorations (commercial and personal). The credit and collection specialist will report to the Credit Manager and will be in charge of the following responsibilities Job Description:
Responsible for all day-to-day credit and collection activities to various insurance companies and individuals.
Negotiate settlements with Insurance companies and respective adjusters and claim managers.
Collect insurance claims from insurance companies by establishing policies and procedures for documentation, claims, loss adjustments expenses, research for losses and other documentation as required.
Responsible for the overall legal strategy of the firm.
Work with outside law firms regarding various legal matters that they may arise from time to time
Research of relevant cases law regarding insurance law in various state in which we have operations.
Establish credit limits for new and existing customers based on analysis of credit bureau data and financial statements
Drive continuous improvement of credit/collection/deduction processes by establishing policies and procedures.
Help reconcile lock box daily, bank transfers, credit and collection account statements and post remittances to customer accounts
Review credit hold list daily to expedite release of clients property within the state laws.
Prepare and analyze reports detailing key performance metrics
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Able to communicate with professionals at all levels by all means necessary
Able to work independently and take initiative
Able to adapt to changing priorities
Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
A team player
Strong work ethic
Bachelor's degree in management, accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience
Juris Doctor preferred (and or relevance experience)
