Overview

The Human Resources Generalist manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office. The HR Generalist manages the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: interviewing, departmental development, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, and employment.

Given our growth, our pace is quick and you'll be constantly juggling multiple priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Compile and enter data for all EEO/AAP programs to ensure equal opportunity employment.
  • Recruit, interview, and oversee selection of employees.
  • Plan and approve new employee orientation.
  • Oversee all record keeping for personnel transactions, benefits, and safety and health regulations.
  • Administer general policies and procedures to be followed by facility personnel in compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
    Employee communications.
  • Employee Relations—including conducting confidential investigations.
  • Assure accurate preparation of reports related to human resource functions.
  • Support the development of the HR department processes, procedures and personnel.
  • Assist with public relations activities in the Community.
  • Supervise office HR Clerk(s) and HR Assistant(s)
  • Drive Safety 24/7 culture throughout entire workforce.
  • Comply with current Quality Systems requirements.
  • Follow Lean Manufacturing procedures.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by the Human Resources Manager.
Qualifications

Education, Experience, Skills Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management or Human Resource Management preferred; minimum of 5 years experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in FMLA, STD, AAP, ADA, Workers’ Compensation, FLSA
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written form.
    Computer/ Database skills.

Equipment Used:

  • General office equipment, PC w/ various software to include MS Office or Gmail.
  • Personal protective equipment as required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting, standing, walking, bending and twisting as necessary.
