At Freddie Mac, you will do important work to build a better housing finance system and you’ll be part of a team helping to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable across the nation.

Employees, contingent workers and visitors are no longer required to show proof of vaccination to be on-site. Effective January 2023, Freddie Mac’s hybrid work arrangement is 3 days in the office (specifically Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday).

Apply today to join the Public Relations and Digital Communications team as a Marketing Strategy, Professional responsible for enhancing Freddie Mac’s public image through the development of integrated digital marketing strategies across multiple channels. In this role, you’ll report to the Digital Marketing Manager responsible for supporting the corporate marketing strategy. You will help build go-to-market plans partnering with our paid media team, business divisions and the broader digital communications team through the planning, implementation and development of paid, earned, shared and owned campaigns to promote Freddie Mac’s corporate communications initiatives and new and existing products targeting consumers.

We conceptualize awareness campaigns to raise the profile of Freddie Mac and the services we provide to showcase the impact of our work. We’re responsible for the design and implementation of effective communications and marketing strategies, the optimization of existing campaigns, and the creation of new content and strategy. We provide creative direction within the approved brand framework and implement standard methodologies for marketing, including analytics, SEM/SEO, email marketing, social media marketing, and content amplification.

We build Freddie Mac’s cohesive and differentiated positioning to build our reputation as a transformational organization in the housing market. We break down barriers to understanding and engagement through accessible and engaging content and effective marketing of Freddie Mac tools and resources. We amplify Freddie Mac initiatives across all channels to build a connection between Freddie Mac and its various audiences with the intention of growing engagement, followers and advocates. We work to align content purpose to business objectives for marketing, public relations, advocacy and engagement.

We are skilled content creators who understand the comprehensive customer experience of content from all channels. We are the connective tissue that unites Freddie Mac’s purpose, products and services in a cohesive manner — while always seeking opportunities to enhance the content we produce.

Your work falls into the following two categories:


  • Brings a strong knowledge of different types of paid media and digital channels to design and implements campaigns that promote our company, our content and our channels.

  • Builds effective PESO (paid, earned, shared and owned) strategies that complement business objectives and effectively use channels to meet identified critical metrics while reaching multiple audiences.

  • Increases target audiences' interest in our communications initiatives through thoughtful paid media campaigns helping us “punch above our weight” while ensuring our strategies are within budget.

  • Creates innovative ways to identifying the best creative and content mix for promotional strategies to meet audience and business objectives.

  • Monitors campaign performance and regularly reports campaign results.

  • Optimizes advertising strategies for varying audiences and channels.


  • Partners with business lines and the in-house creative agency to implement campaign creative and strategies to meet target audience needs.

  • Stays abreast of current paid and owned digital media marketing trends and drives continuous improvement through tools, technology and process.

  • Collaborates and strategizes with product development teams to help create new products or improve existing ones, through product testing and marketing research, which helps the company effectively meet consumers’ needs.


  • 3+ years of related experience in marketing strategy, expert knowledge of digital paid media landscape; product development experience a plus.

  • College degree in marketing or communications, or equivalent experience.

  • Creative problem solver who can connect the company’s objectives to integrated marketing campaign strategies.

  • Experience in integrated marketing campaign development to drive awareness and consumer engagement across Freddie Mac’s digital properties.

  • Strong understanding of paid media monitoring and measurement methods and tools and how they influence marketing strategies and creative direction.

  • Media or creative agency, Capitol Hill, or regulated industry experience a plus.

  • Experience working with large data sets and understanding of methodologies for evaluating data to inform and optimize strategies.
