Prototype Builder/Engine Mechanic Dearborn, MI
Schedule: Monday-Friday plus overtime
Pay: Depending on experience
Job Type: Full time long term contract. Possible full-time hire.
Location: Dearborn, MI
Mechanics will be responsible for and have the appropriate tools to assemble, disassemble, diagnosis, and repair production and prototype engines following the build book, illustrations, sketches, prints, and repair manuals. Mechanics will work with personnel to contain the vehicle build book, determine vehicle content, and assemble to BOM as well as working with the build planner to support the vehicle assembly process. This also includes and is not limited to Company required reports using corporate tools such as: GPIRS labor tracking, invoice balancing, material costs, and various other types of reports from WORQ, eWHMS, CDSID system accounts.
- Experience preparing, maintaining and testing engines and test equipment
- 3-5 Years mechanical experience
- 5+ years automotive industry experience
- Experience in engines/powertrain dynamometer testing or other similar testing techniques a plus
- ASE Master Mechanic Certifications preferred
- Associates degree in automotive technology preferred
